Alfie Rouy’s practice explores the manifestation of fluid, intangible energies frequencies, vibrations, and intuitive currents that connect the human mind to the energetic states of nature. His work revolves around the idea of the soul’s evolution and the interconnectedness of all things, offering a visual language that vibrate between polarity and unity. Through abstracted, often figurative forms that appear both contained and free-flowing, Rouy seeks to portray reality not as it is seen, but as it is felt ephemeral, elusive, and spiritually charged.
His creative process begins with automatic drawing. An intuitive method where conscious control is set aside to allow internal or external forces to guide the hand. These initial sketches serve as the foundation for larger compositions, capturing energetic impressions of the present moment. His paintings evolve from these beginnings into dreamlike spaces filled with symbolic color, layered textures, and recurring patterns. Alfie Rouy’s work is not meant to be read literally but to be felt resonating like a mantra or a frequency.
